Hot Topic Haul

I have an annual ritual that I always spoil myself for my birthday and buy things that makes me happy so I decided to try shopping from Hot Topic, and of course I’ll post about it because I need to justify my shopaholic needs.

Harry Potter Hogwarts Crest Metal Key Chain

Price: $8.90
Honestly I chose this for no reason, it looks cool and I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. The key chain is quite heavy and big for my usual choice of key chains but I love it.

Rate: 5/5

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children Stay Peculiar Girls Peplum Tank Top

Price: $34.90
I guess I’m still hung over the movie that I fell in love with this top. It’s stretchy and I love the detailing in the shoulders, definitely going to be my favorite top after I get bored from the Hakuna Matata shirt I got from LightInTheBox recently.

Pusheen Mint Sushi Snap Flap Wallet

Price: $16.90
I love Pusheen and I love sushi so seeing both of them in this cute wallet made me fangirl for a bit … maybe more. It’s so cute and I’m really obsessed with it.

Harry Potter Golden Snitch Key Chain

Price: $8.5
The moment I saw this, I instantly imagined it on my car keys. It looks so cool and the middle ball is quite heavy and sturdy, the wings are well connected.

Marvel Deadpool Kawaii Girls Sleep Set

Price: $29.90
Deadpool is my favorite character from Marvel, obviously I would be all over these pajamas. It has cute chibi Deadpool, how can I say no to that.

Maybe I went a little overboard with this haul, going over my usual budget but it was my birthday and I wanted to spoil myself because I deserve to be happy.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this haul, have a great day.

OwlCrate (Epic)

I’ve been busy lately planning for my son’s first birthday so I’ve been scheduling posts again, that’s why this post came out late but better late than never. OwlCrate is one of my favorite subscription boxes so of course I won’t skip any month, December theme was Epic.

Narnia Greeting Card by SusannesArt

I personally don’t use cards but I do like collecting them. Narnia is one of my favorite movies so I was really happy seeing this cute drawing on the card.

A Darker Shade of Magic Sticker

Lovely sticker with a quote inspired from the book A Darker Shade of Magic.

Lord of Rings Book Pin From Ideal Bookshelf

I’m not exactly into pins, I usually give them to my sisters since they like attaching them to their bags. I like the design of it though.

Mystery Mini Blind Box: Harry Potter

and I got Hermione, she’s so cute so happy that I got her.

Game of Thrones House Sigil Coasters Set

I’m not really a fan of game of Thrones and I never really understood why people like it, so I’m just gonna throw this out there. The coasters are thick and solid with quite detailed art which I could appreciate but I’ll probably give this to someone who likes the series.

And finally the book of the month and a cute letter from the author

of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst

An atmospheric and romantic debut fantasy perfect for fans of Ash and The Winner’s Curse.

Betrothed since childhood to the prince of Mynaria, Princess Dennaleia has always known what her future holds. Her marriage will seal the alliance between Mynaria and her homeland, protecting her people from other hostile kingdoms. But Denna has a secret. She possesses an Affinity for fire—a dangerous gift for the future queen of a land where magic is forbidden.

Now Denna has to learn the ways of her new kingdom while trying to hide her growing magic. To make matters worse, she must learn to ride Mynaria’s formidable warhorses before her coronation—and her teacher is the person who intimidates her most, the prickly and unconventional Princess Amaranthine, sister of her betrothed.

When a shocking assassination leaves the kingdom reeling, Mare and Denna reluctantly join forces to search for the culprit. As the two work together, they discover there is more to one another than they thought—and soon their friendship is threatening to blossom into something more.

But with dangerous conflict brewing that makes the alliance more important than ever, acting on their feelings could be deadly. Forced to choose between their duty and their hearts, Mare and Denna must find a way to save their kingdoms—and each other.

I never really read a book that feature LGBT+ community actually so this would be interesting to read, can’t wait to start honestly.

Overall, I like every item in this box except the Game of Thrones coaster I hoped there would be more bookish items but I was satisfied with the box anyway. January theme would be Classic Remix.

OwlCrate (Good vs Evil)

Yesterday I received my second OwlCrate and the theme of the month was Good vs Evil. Basically you’ll get either a good box or an evil box at random, and I honestly wanted an evil but unfortunately I got the good box. I don’t hate it though, I still love everything in it so let’s get into the unboxing.

In the good box you’ll either get Dobby or Luna Lovegood POP Figure from Funko and I’m so glad I got Dobby, I love him and I confess I cried when certain things happened to him -Don’t want to spoil the movie on anyone who didn’t watch it yet-

Millennium Falcon necklace from Vector Engraving. I confess I’m not exactly into the whole Star Wars thing -Please don’t hate me- but this necklace looks pretty cool, I’ll probably wear it anyway.

Alice magnetic bookmark from Jane’s Tiny Things. It’s bigger than last month bookmarks.

A sticker with quotes inspired from Illuminae designed by Drop and Give Me Nerdy. I’ll probably stick this to my husband’s face and be like “Look I’m romantic”.

A coloring book featuring covers from YA novels.

And finally the book of the month which is This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab.

There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from acclaimed author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books, This Savage Song is a must-have for fans of Holly Black, Maggie Stiefvater, and Laini Taylor.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.

While reading this summary, I could say It’s a book I wouldn’t normally choose but it seem interesting. I haven’t finished last month book My Lady Jane so I’m planning to start on this one once I do.

As for next month theme, it would be Fast Times at YA High and it will feature a hilarious high school love story. It will also include items inspired by Hogwarts which I’m super excited about.

Which box did you get ?
