Product of The Month

IMG_20180823_210901

Let me be honest with you … Pregnancy comes with burdens, mostly related to the body and my legs has been getting less care and love since my sense of balance is disoriented at the moment. It’s easier to use a moisturizing lotion on your upper body areas but not below, that’s why I chose this spray-on Argan Oil as the product of the month.

I’ve always mentioned how I personally love using Argan Oil infused products for my hair and body, now this products is for both which is really convenient but what makes me as a pregnant woman appreciate this product more is the spray function. It makes my life easier because I can just spray it on my legs instead of finding the perfect comfortable position to rub any lotion on my legs.

I highly recommend this product if you want a little bit of Argan Oil blessing on your hair or skin, I can tell you it works so well. It eases the itchiness from shaving, it moisturizes the area as the oil gets absorbed fast and doesn’t leave that sticky oily feeling.

Kira Kira Crate – July 2018

IMG_20180728_000626_Fotor.jpg

I posted in May my first Kira Kira Crate and I’ve been in love with it, June rolls around and I changed my address to Oman because I thought maybe it’ll be easier and cheaper instead of using that cursed shipping company. Well, I was wrong and I never really got June box and I was just sad that I have to go back to that shipping company again just to get my packages.

Jumping to July, I got my package of course after paying extra fee but I guess I deserved it. I cancelled my subscription after this box because I wanted to try something new and I might return back to this box anyway because I really enjoyed it. What I loved about this box is that all the items are connected to each other and makes a whole process of skincare routine.

Bub Bub Sponge

This adorable sponge is just too cute for me to use, it has silicon ends and it helps with exfoliating and bubbles up the foam of the cleanser you apply on the lower part.  Like I said earlier the products are connected so the next one is the cleanser you can use with this sponge.

Aloe Face Wash

I love aloe based skincare products and this one isn’t any different, I love how it smells and it felt so refreshing.

This duo was a fun experience for me to try compared to the usual skincare routine I always do, I would love to try a different face wash with this sponge.

Collagen and Vitamin C Lotion

I’m not sure why it’s called lotion because it’s definitely a toner to me. I love using vitamin C serums, I always make it part of my skincare routine and like the previous products it’s paired up with a rather interesting mask.

Compressed Sheet Masks

So this thing just blew my mind, they are small heart shaped tablets which absorbs toners or any liquid and they grow all the sudden to be a sheet mask.

Just like this video, I used the toner and dropped one of the tablets to create a vitamin C sheet mask and I liked how my face felt after using it. The toner can be used alone as well with cotton pads, as well as the sheet masks they can be customized with different toners and face products that can absorbed by those small tablets.

Cheek Roller

As a final step from all those skincare products, this cheek roller is a perfect ending. It helps improve blood circulation and enhancing collagen, and it gives you the perfect massage for your cheeks before going to bed.

Overall, I’m kinda sad that I cancelled this subscription box. I really love everything they sent out so far, mostly because they are such interesting products to try out and also I think Asian skincare products are the best. I will definitely consider resubscribing soon, I highly recommend this subscription box.

My Experience With Livar Argan Oil Hair Products

IMG_20180624_213046

Ever since I went back to my original hair, I’ve been using sulfate-free hair products and I’ve stopped dyeing hair for one year as a healing period. I’ve been using more natural products with less chemicals involved and of course Argan Oil has been my favorite since it’s good for hair and skin as well.

Livar Argan Oil Shampoo

If you’re not familiar with sulfate-free hair products, you should know that the shampoo doesn’t really bubble like normal shampoos would. The shampoo itself leaves your hair a bit dry so I would suggest to use a conditioner right after rinsing the shampoo, it leaves your hair clean that’s for sure but slightly dry. I kind of miss seeing the foam build up on my hair and I would randomly create weird hairstyles with it, and see myself as a diva, maybe it’s time to buy those normal shampoos.

Livar Argan Oil Conditioner

I always recommend using more conditioner than shampoo, it moisturizes and leaves the hair with a healthy shine. Now this conditioner is like a step two to the shampoo I reviewed earlier and I feel they should go together, The dryness you get from the shampoo completely disappears after using this conditioner. I’ve been using those two products for about 4 months now and I’m honestly very satisfied with them.

Both products obviously contain Argan Oil and as amazing this ingredient is to our hair and skin, I really don’t like the smell of it. It’s not a strong smell actually, I just didn’t like how my hair smelled after using them. I would use a hair mist while my hair is still damp and that is the last step of my hair washing routine. Other than the smell, I loved those two products. I would highly recommend it just like Nashi Argan products I reviewed before, mainly because I believe Argan Oil is so great with hair as I experienced in plenty of other hair and skin products.

Four Seasons of Pregnancy Fashion

One of the reasons I love being pregnant is having the excuse of refreshing my wardrobe. I love shopping for clothes, it gives me a rush of trying different styles and having something new basically. I don’t necessary always choose maternity clothes, plus size and larger sized clothes are good enough for me. The best part about them, I could reuse them after I give birth but in a different way, like adding a belt and showing off how your waist slimmed down after pregnancy.

When it comes to pregnancy clothes, I always choose dresses. I feel they are more comfortable to wear for everyday more than pants, like I said before I can use them later on after pregnancy but as for maternity pants I feel they are only useful for few months then that’s it. I think dresses are more adaptable for body changes compared to pants, I’ll say it’s a preference in the end.

On the journey of 9 months, you go through seasons worth of clothes so I decided to list dresses appropriate for each season during your pregnancy. All the dresses listed in this post are offered in many sizes from S to 4XL so whether your pregnant or not, you can easily find your size.

This post is sponsored by Talever

Spring

When you think of Spring, you always have a floral designed dresses in mind.

I personally go for these dresses online because it’s very comfortable, the lace ribbon can be tied on the chest area leaving space for your belly to grow. If you’re going for more of a modest style, you could wear a pair of leggings and it’ll still look pretty nice.

Summer

For Summer, I always go for bohemian maxi dresses or beach dresses maxi styled dresses.

I think polyester is a great material, mostly because it’s stretchable. Like this dress, it’s gonna help you cool down in the summer heat and won’t make your bump feel uncomfortable since the material would be stretchable.

Fall

I think fall got a stigma of having more of a dark colored clothes, it somehow feels more fitting with the weather getting colder.

This dress is one the examples I mentioned earlier, you could use it after pregnancy when you add just a small accessory like a belt and it’ll look something different. I would wear this with a thick pantyhose, and I think it would be good to wear even in winter.

Winter

The transition from fall to winter fashion isn’t much, if the climate get more colder you could always wear something on your dress. I would personally go for a cotton cardigan, I feel they fit pretty much any style.

Now I would go for this gorgeous dress because it’s long enough to keep my legs warm and I can adjust the tight waist part to go above my pregnant belly. It can be used as a formal dress as well while staying comfortable.

I hope you enjoyed this selection of dresses I would recommend getting whether you’re pregnant or not, the site Talever offers those dresses in all sizes so I’m sure you’ll find your size in something you like. Let me know what do you think in the comments below.

Product of The Month

Of course I’m going to choose the Facial Cleansing Brush, It’s been my favorite ever since I bought it. After using it for couple of weeks and making it part of my skincare routine, I can honestly say I’ve felt and seen my face look more flawless now. I mean I could be wrong since I’m pregnant and experiencing pregnancy glow which makes my skin and hair look amazing. I’ll still say I love this product and I would highly recommend trying it out, it’s very relaxing.

Kira Kira Crate – May 2018

I’ve been a fan of Glossybox for a pretty long time, but recently I’ve been getting disappointed from the items they sent out in the boxes that eventually made me deactivate my account again. I wanted to try something new and I found Kira Kira Crate, I’ve been into Asian cosmetics for awhile and I think their skincare products are the best so why not try it every month and see how it goes?

IMG_20180522_234342_Fotor

The crate comes directly from Japan so it takes time to arrive, say about 2 to 4 weeks. It contains 6 full sized items along with a cute booklet that has the instructions of every item in English and tips on how to use them.

Bath Salts

You could guess from the package, it’s honey and lemon. Of course it smells citrus-y and I appreciate anything that makes me relax in my bathtub.

Moasis Oil Milk

A hydrating oil milk that has cactus oil. It doesn’t get absorbed by the skin fast, and also it has a sticky feeling after using it so I didn’t like it that much.

Paper Soap (Rose)

A cute little package that has 50 sheets of paper soap. This is something completely new to me and I was mind blown about this. It can be kept in your bag so you would have soap whenever you need it.

IMG_20180522_234724_Fotor

Hot Eyes Mask

The package include 3 sets of eye masks and it comes with a cute polar bear with glasses design. Honestly I didn’t think it would get this warm when I put it on my eyes, it was very soothing and smells like lavender which is my favorite. I absolutely LOVE this.

Organic Mask (Chamomile)

I love those masks, they are always so soothing to use before going to sleep. It helped calming down my skin and I love how my face feels after it.

Black & Shiny Eyeliner

Even Japanese packaging look cute, this eyeliner got a leopard design and the tip is a bit bulky for what I’m used to. It has a slight glitter on it once you apply it but it gets smudged easily so I wouldn’t say it’s long lasting. I would add it on top of my usual eyeliner if I need a little shimmer on my eyes for a night out.

IMG_20180522_234845_Fotor

Overall, I would say I’m interested in Kira Kira Crate and I’ll keep my subscription for a while to see what more they have to offer in the upcoming months. I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to know if you tried any of Japan Crate subscriptions.

Testing Facial Cleansing Brush

IMG_20180512_191139

Originally I wanted to try LVL lash treatment since it’s been on my mind after I tried lash extensions a year ago. It’s much pricier but I thought if the process is worth it, I might just continue with it instead of the extensions. But it turned out I can’t do it because I’m pregnant and apparently it’s not good for breastfeeding ladies as well, probably because of the serum used to keep the lashes lifted and curled. I might consider doing it by next year if that’s the case, so I just changed my appointment to manicure since my nails need a little love and I don’t mind a free hand massage. When I was at the salon waiting for my turn, the hairdresser was talking to me and showing me this facial cleansing brush. I got interested because I’ve seen it in few ads and like the Pore Cleaner Vacuum, I wanted to test it out for myself.

IMG_20180512_191242.jpg

The packaging is really nice to be honest, and it looks fancy. The device is made of silicon and it has two sides, a cleanser and a massager.

How Does it Work ?

It’s waterproof so it’s easy to clean after usage, you can use it after dampen your face and applying whichever cleansing product you like. There are two buttons to control the vibrating settings to whichever you’re comfortable using.

Does it Actually Work ?

I used it with my usual cleansing gel and the whole vibrating process was actually pretty relaxing. My skin seemed much smoother and the pores weren’t that visible as I’m used to see. I would honestly say this product worked well with me from the first use.

The Verdict

If you don’t want to pay over $100 for a facial cleanser, I highly recommend trying this product and adding it to your skincare routine because it really helps in reducing pore visibility and the whole cleansing process. Along with skincare, it’s also a relaxing massage device.

Have you ever used a facial cleansing device before ? Do you recommend it ?
