I’ve been a fan of Glossybox for a pretty long time, but recently I’ve been getting disappointed from the items they sent out in the boxes that eventually made me deactivate my account again. I wanted to try something new and I found Kira Kira Crate, I’ve been into Asian cosmetics for awhile and I think their skincare products are the best so why not try it every month and see how it goes?
The crate comes directly from Japan so it takes time to arrive, say about 2 to 4 weeks. It contains 6 full sized items along with a cute booklet that has the instructions of every item in English and tips on how to use them.
You could guess from the package, it’s honey and lemon. Of course it smells citrus-y and I appreciate anything that makes me relax in my bathtub.
A hydrating oil milk that has cactus oil. It doesn’t get absorbed by the skin fast, and also it has a sticky feeling after using it so I didn’t like it that much.
A cute little package that has 50 sheets of paper soap. This is something completely new to me and I was mind blown about this. It can be kept in your bag so you would have soap whenever you need it.
The package include 3 sets of eye masks and it comes with a cute polar bear with glasses design. Honestly I didn’t think it would get this warm when I put it on my eyes, it was very soothing and smells like lavender which is my favorite. I absolutely LOVE this.
I love those masks, they are always so soothing to use before going to sleep. It helped calming down my skin and I love how my face feels after it.
Black & Shiny Eyeliner
Even Japanese packaging look cute, this eyeliner got a leopard design and the tip is a bit bulky for what I’m used to. It has a slight glitter on it once you apply it but it gets smudged easily so I wouldn’t say it’s long lasting. I would add it on top of my usual eyeliner if I need a little shimmer on my eyes for a night out.
Overall, I would say I’m interested in Kira Kira Crate and I’ll keep my subscription for a while to see what more they have to offer in the upcoming months. I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to know if you tried any of Japan Crate subscriptions.
