I used to have an app that helped me track all the games I ever played, life was easier with android. I couldn’t find a proper tracker app for my iPhone so it took me time to think of a game to revisit. In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to stop playing Stardew Valley so I can finish Assassin’s Creed Origins and focus more on Tales of Berseria (Because Velvet is bae ❤ ) . To ease off my addiction to Stardew Valley I chose a similar game to it, big mistake I know but it’s also one of my favorites.
Life is good for the residents of Heartflame Island, especially since new robots and automated machines do almost all of the work. But technology is a tool-not an answer to all problems. Maybe that’s why everyone is a little uneasy about the old stories of strange magic and a prediction that Flame Mountain will erupt and destroy everything. That’s why Dr. Hope, a caring and wise old scholar has sent you, his son on a journey to the ancient ruins to try and run a farm. It is your father’s dream that you will unlock the secrets of the ancient ruins and find the meaning of “life”. Grow crops, care for livestock, interact with the many villagers and explore a futuristic world as you try to unlock the many mysteries surrounding you.
I absolutely love Harvest Moon games, I won’t say I tried all of them but I remember getting it for my 3DS after the name changed to Story of Seasons and I honestly didn’t enjoy it as much. Innocent Life is considered a spin off to Harvest Moon because it had all the elements of that franchise but obviously lacking marriage feature since you play as a Robot I guess ?
The game heavily focuses on the main story which I would say a bit similar to Rune Factory but without a combat system. The main story-line is basically restoring the land and prevent the eruption of the volcano, easy right ? It’s a fun game and I enjoyed it a lot but unfortunately there’re few down sides of it. The whole farming concept is like a main feature in every Harvest Moon game and as you progress in the story, chores gets easier with robots helping in weeding, watering and harvesting the crops so it strays from farming as you focus more in exploring the areas around the island to progress the story.
I’ll only play this to get my mind off of Stardew Valley because ..
This doesn’t make me feel proud …
