2 Hours into Little Nightmares

A hungry nine-year-old girl named Six is trapped in The Maw – a mysterious vessel catering to the whims of sick and powerful creatures. After waking up in the lower depths of the Maw, Six decides to escape the harsh confines, having regular moments of excruciating hunger.

I’ve been wanting to try this game for a while but didn’t have the time to so I was really excited to start it finally. The game is a puzzle platformer and I would say it’s almost similar to Inside and Limbo but has more space to walk around instead of left and right  direction only as those two games.

Now the hide and seek sort of mechanic was quite interesting and showed the horror element of it, for me it reminded me of Haunting Ground even though I really hate that game. The enemies are quite interesting to me, so far I managed to escape the first one which is the janitor and it was somewhat challenging.

I’m really enjoying this game and I love the fact that the story is unfolding without any dialogue but more through the actions and how the camera is moving, I would say it’s doll house but more dark and sinister.

  1. I really want to play Little Nightmares! Especially since you said it reminds of Haunting Ground… I actually really liked that game… Although the protagonist was somewhat annoying…

I love horror games, and when I saw the trailer for this, I fell in love with it immediately!

    • Fiona from Haunting Ground is basically Barbie, as much as I hated the panic system in that game, it made the gaming experience more challenging I guess.
Since I wrote this post, I progressed in the game to a really dark scene and it’s going darker from that point on. I really recommend trying it out.

    • I’m not a fan of puzzle games because sometimes they make me feel stupid when I over-think the level but it was simple all along. You HAVE to try this game, it’s toooooooo good.
