Inkbox – The 2 Week Tattoo Review

I’ve always wanted to have a tattoo but for religious reasons I can’t so obviously I would search for alternatives even if they weren’t permanent but at least I would cross it off my bucket list. I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a sponsored ad in my feed of Inkbox and I was instantly interested since it was about tattoos that would last 2 weeks or more so I decided to try it out and see for myself if it was worth it.

Inkbox has a organic formula basically and it’s from an indigenous tribes from the Panama who have been tattooing their skin with the pulp of a fruit which is called Genipapo or Huito. I thought it was similar to henna since we used it as well and it gives a stain to the skin but not as black as this one so they are a bit different.

I ordered two tattoos to try out which are the Gualaca and Memento Mori, so I tried out Gualaca first which looks like this basically.

It’s small and easy to place so I tried it on my shoulder and followed the instructions that came in the box with the whole kit. It doesn’t show instantly, it takes about 12 to 36 hours to fully become black and dark. The only mistake I did was when I was pressing the cloth on the tattoo, I readjust it few times which made the ink stain my skin on the outer parts of the tattoo and it looked like I’ve spray painted it with a stencil.

Knowing that mistake, I decided to do the second tattoo on my arm the next day. The box basically comes like this.

The tattoo was bigger than the stars one I mentioned earlier so it took more space. Again I followed the instructions but this time I tried keeping the cloth in place. The whole process isn’t painful at all but I would say peeling the sticker of the tattoo when I was done was painful kinda.

Here’s the tattoo I tried.

Here’s how it looked like right after I peeled the sticker when I was done.

And here’s how it looked like 12 hours later.

I don’t why it spilled a bit of a leak on “Mori” but other than that I am so in love with it and it made me want to make it permanent because I’ve always wanted a tattoo of “Memento Mori”

and here’s how it looks like after two days

Gualaca was $19 and Memento Mori was $23

As for how long these tattoos lasted, I noticed Memento Mori faded a lot faster than the stars. I could say they started to fade after the first week so I guess it satisfied the “2 Week Tattoo” part. In terms of color, The stars were a bit more black than Memento Mori which seemed more blue. I don’t know if it’s related to the skin type, location or even the pressure done when I applied them in the first place.

Overall, I’m honestly in love with these tattoos and I’m going to try different designs obviously and order more from the website.

Thank you for reading and have a great day.

  1. This is the single coolest thing I’ve ever seen, ever! The Memento Mori tatt looks so realistic! It’s perfect for us Muslims! I’m so excited I’m literally bouncing in place! OMG Rei I freakin’ love you! Is that too soon? I don’t care. Deal with it. I can’t wait to try them out! Girl, thank you! ❤

but yeah these tattoos are awesome, there’s a free hand ink bottle where you can draw your own tattoo as well but i’m not exactly artistic so I passed that one.
