Let me apologize for spamming this blog with subscription boxes in the past two weeks, I got them all in the same time couple of weeks ago so I scheduled them to be published as I tested them out. OwlCrate February box is filled with delicious items that fits the theme of the month “Run Away With The Circus“
These page flags look so cute, they are quite thick as well. Let me stick them everywhere now.
This item is exclusive to OwlCrate. As you can see it has donuts so it smells delicious, probably gonna hold myself from eating it since I’m on a diet and I love donuts.
Also another exclusive item and like the previous one it smells delicious and it makes me hungry every time I smell it. It has scents of caramel popcorn, roasted chestnuts and bonfire fragrances so yeah thanks for ruining my diet OwlCrate.
The next item is this notepad which is made of scrap papers and casino discards, it’s perfect size to keep in your bag.
So let me just say I love everything by Evie Bookish, I think she’s really talented and I’ve loved every item sent out from OwlCrate by her so this would definitely be my favorite item from this box.
Finally book of the month and wow it’s so glossy and glittery.
Whatever you’ve heard about Caraval, it doesn’t compare to the reality. It’s more than just a game or a performance. It’s the closest you’ll ever find to magic in this world . . .
Scarlett has never left the tiny island where she and her beloved sister, Tella, live with their powerful, and cruel, father. Now Scarlett’s father has arranged a marriage for her, and Scarlett thinks her dreams of seeing Caraval, the far-away, once-a-year performance where the audience participates in the show, are over.
But this year, Scarlett’s long-dreamt of invitation finally arrives. With the help of a mysterious sailor, Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only, as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval’s mastermind organizer, Legend. It turns out that this season’s Caraval revolves around Tella, and whoever finds her first is the winner.
Scarlett has been told that everything that happens during Caraval is only an elaborate performance. But she nevertheless becomes enmeshed in a game of love, heartbreak, and magic with the other players in the game. And whether Caraval is real or not, she must find Tella before the five nights of the game are over, a dangerous domino effect of consequences is set off, and her sister disappears forever.
Welcome, welcome to Caraval . . . beware of getting swept too far away.
So reading this small summary, instantly made me think of the anime Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) for some reason I really don’t know why but this sounds so exciting and I’ve read so many great reviews on this book so I’m really excited to start reading it.
As usual the book came with a letter from the author and also a signed bookplate. A quote card which looks great and glossy -I’ve said this word so many times now- and also a digital card which has a redeemable code so you could listen to a sneak peak of the audiobook.
Overall, this box was full of delicious goodness and I love everything in it because it totally ruined my diet.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day.
