OwlCrate (Royalty)

Last night I received my first Owl Crate and I was so excited to try this subscription box. I really wanted to read more books because I stopped after I gave birth so this box was the perfect solution for me.

OwlCrate is a monthly book subscription box that sends newly published Young Adult novels and assorted bookish goodies to your door. Each month’s OwlCrate is tailored to a fun theme (past themes include MAGIC, MYTHS & LEGENDS, and DIVERSITY) and will contain one new Young Adult novel, as well as 3-5 other bookish treats to help you get your nerd on.

The subscription starts $29.99 USD plus shipping for one month, there are also other plans for 3 and 6 months. I used aramex Shop and Ship service to ship it from my US account to my country for $24.42 USD (10.2 OMR) because the box was a bit heavy so they added charges for the weight.

On to the unboxing, this month theme was Royalty so I was quite excited for this.

and finally the book of the month which is My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows.

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.

I’m planning to start reading it tonight hopefully. Overall I love everything in this box, I’m definitely gonna keep my subscription because next month theme gonna be Good vs Evil in which they’ll send out two different boxes, the good box inspired by heroes and an evil box inspired by evil villains. The book in both boxes will be the same and I’m already excited about it, I really hope I get the evil box.
